Many products must fit within existing facility footprints or be retrofitted into existing equipment, creating unique requirements for every project. In the past, designers reused older designs on an ad hoc basis, making it difficult to maintain consistency, update designs efficiently, and enforce engineering standards across product lines.
By implementing SIGMAXIM SmartAssembly within Creo, Bunting created a library of standard parts that allows engineers to automatically build components 90–95% to completion and quickly make the necessary modifications using clean, reliable models. Standardized library components can be configured together to design conveyors, hoppers, and separation equipment faster while ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
