Development of Special Interfaces

Below are examples of some of custom development add-on software which integrate external applications inside Pro/ENGINEER.

Interface between Gain EDM/PDM and Pro/ENGINEER:

This custom application is an interface between the EDM/PDM system Gain and Pro/ENGINEER. The interface allows to access regular Gain PDM functions such as checkin, checkout, release management, etc. directly from Pro/ENGINEER.

Interface between a Bearing Calculation Software and Pro/ENGINEER:

This interface allows a data exchange of gear set models which are modeled in Pro/ENGINEER with a bearing calculation software. The geometry of the shafts and information about the bearings and gears are transferred to the bearing calculation software. This allows for the immediate calculation of the bearings and gear sets.

Interface between Hasco standards module and Pro/ENGINEER:

This interface integrates the Hasco 3D standards module into the Pro/ENGINEER environment. Hasco 3D standards module allows a selection of a component from the Hasco catalog, then creates a CAD-neutral description of the selected component. With this interface, a Pro/ENGINEER user select a component from the catalog directly inside the Pro/ENGINEER environment. The component is automatically created as a Pro/ENGINEER part or assembly using the CAD-neutral component description.
