Drawings Automation

 Below are examples of some of custom development add-on software which automate detailing tasks inside Pro/ENGINEER.

Fully Automatic Configuration and Drawing Creation: 

    A fully automatic configuration, 3D modeling and drawing creation for taps and thread milling tools has been developed. The Sales department inputs all the required information about a tool. In batch mode, based on this information and following pre-defined rules, the system determines all the necessary features of the tool, creates a 3D model and a production drawing which is automatically sent to the shop floor. With this system, more than 5000 drawings per year are created without any user intervention.

 

 

Interface for Editing Drawing Management Information:

All data management information on production and development drawings are handled by a special user interface. In addition to supporting multiple languages, this custom application automatically checks all input data for any error. Additionally, an integrated search functionality and quick function buttons (i.e. for datum, user, etc.) result in optimized workflow and great time savings.

 

 

 

 

Interface for Drawing Formats, Title Blocks and Symbols:

This project provided for an integration inside Pro/ENGINEER of a custom CAD-independent software for configuring and filling drawing formats, title blocks and symbols. From inside Pro/ENGINEER, a user launches the custom software to configure and fill drawing formats, title blocks and symbols. All drawing information are then created automatically in Pro/ENGINEER.
